1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the TeachDesk platform (“Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TeachDesk is a cloud-based school management tool that allows teachers and educational administrators to manage student records, attendance, test scores, fee tracking, work logs, and generate reports. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier and paid (“Pro”) plans.

3. Eligibility

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@teachdesk.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We will not be liable for losses arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the Service's content without prior written consent.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm any individual.
  • Circumvent or disable any security features.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice.

6. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you upload or enter (“Your Content”). By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We will never sell Your Content or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Subscription & Billing

The Free plan is available at no charge and includes core features. Pro plan features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

If payment fails your account may be downgraded to the Free plan. Your data will be retained and you can resubscribe at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to TeachDesk and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeachDesk and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or profits — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim where applicable.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the updated Terms, please stop using the Service and contact us to close your account.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TeachDesk is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
